Any adult who wishes to volunteer in any way with the children in our school must complete the 2 volunteer requirements, a Background Screening and The Protecting God's Children Workshop through the Diocese of Palm Beach Safe Environment Program. If the steps below are not met Diocesan policies states that no person will be permitted to volunteer at the school for field trips, class parties, etc.
How do I become a Volunteer at Sacred Heart School:
Request an “Authorization to be Fingerprinted” form from the school office.
Fingerprinting is completed through the Office of Safe Environments located at the Diocese of Palm Beach. You must preregister online at https://sep.diocesepb.org. Once you have registered online, then call the Diocese of Palm Beach at 561-775-9510 to schedule an appointment to be fingerprinted. WALK-INS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Remember to bring your signed “Authorization to be Fingerprinted” to the office where you will be fingerprinted along with a current Florida Driver’s License.
Read and sign the Code of Pastoral Conduct found on online at Office of Safe Environments at the Diocese of Palm Beach and return the signed form to the school office.
Go to the Virtus Training of the Office of Safe Environments at the Diocese of Palm Beach to register for a specific location and time to attend the Protecting God's Children workshop. This class must be taken 45 days from being fingerprinted: otherwise you will not be able to volunteer.
*You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop. Please make a copy of your certificate and submit it to the school office.
